12月16日
- Cross-Stitch Project #6 for 2008 has been finished. (And it looks awesome if I may say so myself.) Now onto #7...which will most likely end up being #1 for 2009.
- Made arrangements for my ride to the airport next week. Now the weather in SD just needs to cooperate.
- My office assistant and I are currently enjoying arts and crafts breaks in between the other end of the semester duties as assigned. (Currently working on making a paper-chain.)
- I think I'm craving something chocolate covered from the bookstore. May have to venture across the street soon.
- I
lunches at Zoe's with my colleagues. They're nothing appropriate, but a lot of fun. 12月12日
- As predicted, Gwen did not win on Total Drama Island. Oh well, maybe she'll win the next round...this show will never end. And I'm okay with that.
- The 3-inches of snow that blanketed Baton Rouge yesterday are long gone. What remains is soggy ground and a lot of pictures with the caption of "Let it sneaux, let it sneaux, let it sneaux."
- Today is the final Friday of classes/finals for the fall 2008 semester. Which is just a tad strange to me.
- So ready for the weekend. I have not much planned, but it will be nice to just relax...without college football for one weekend.
- Becky and I have begun plotting our week of holiday fun (next week). As it will be delightfully quiet here on campus. Hint: I will be wearing reindeer antlers at some point.

- Woke up this morning to the sound of what I thought was another round of BR rain, but it turned out to be a snowy mix that actually stuck to the ground.
- Took a couple of pictures with my camera phone...cuz I have a new goal for the next 3 weeks: act as if I'm on an episode of My Super Sweet 16 and Kanye West just happens to show up.
- It is now raining outside. Thus the lovely snow is melting. It was nice while it lasted.
- It's amazing how easy it is to get out of bed/ready for work on a snowy morning. Maybe I should head back North for good?
- Tonight is the finale of Total Drama Island. While I'm all for Gwen winning, I fear Owen may pull it out. Yup. I'm seriously discussing a cartoon reality show as if it was real.

- Reason #30009 to believe in global warming: Baton Rouge weather. Ex. 75-degrees with thunderstorms yesterday; 50-degrees with rain today; chance of snow-mixed with rain tonight, high of 40 tomorrow. Back to the 70s by Sunday. WTF?
- MoSus is kinda pervy.
- I'm officially that lazy person that I used to mock. Why? I'm ordering pizza for lunch. Just so that I don't have to go out in the rain.
- I
backstitching. Cross-Stitch Project #7 for 2008 has at least 4 more sewing days of backstitching to go. My folks better darn-well appreciate my work.
- Did I mention that the Huskers have a better win-loss record than LSU this year? Just thought I'd mention that again, if so.
12月9日
- The haircut was a great success on Friday. I feel much younger. Brighter. And apparentally other folks weren't digging the longer hair as much as I thought. As I've gotten a lot more "I like your hair" than I had in awhile.
- My former graduate student and her hubby are expecting their first child in the spring. Which means I now have an excuse to buy more baby stuff.
Like I really needed an excuse, as I seem to have a lot of young ones in my life at the moment.
- I agree with my sister. I liked Tropic Thunder and Tom Cruise was definitely the high point of the movie. I just didn't like like it.
- Reason #30009 that I'm nesting: Bought new towels/washclothes/handtowels/dishtowels/shower curtain (YAY for Kohl's sales), blanket and a hair dryer last week. On top of the vacuum and pillows that I've bought lately, I must be settling in for a bit.
- It looks like the SDSU gang may be getting back together for a visit on New Year's Day in Sioux Falls. It's been way too long since I've seen everyone. So <fingers crossed> hopefully this will work out.
12月5日
- As I'm technically not at work today, this has been one of the best days of work ever.
- Still haven't decided how I'm going to redo my hair later on this morning. It may be a game time decision.
- Not really sure what I'm going to do tomorrow without Husker football to watch or listen. Maybe I'll clean?
- Most likely I will spend the day making holiday treats. Yay for krumkake!
- Or maybe I'll get outside and exercise or something. One never knows.
12月4日
- Guess who's getting her hair cut tomorrow? (It's long overdue.)
- It kinda feels like fall today...not quite a winter wonderland yet.
- <Fingers crossed> I hope that I will soon have the answer to the burning question: Will Gwen or Owen win Total Drama Island?
- I may be getting a visitor in the form of MoSus for Mardi Gras 2009. Absolutely no good can come from this.
- I
my friends. Especially when they surprise me with an early Christmas gift in the form of a Stir Crazy popcorn maker. 12月3日
- It's amazing how quickly a work day can go when you have a fun lunch out with your co-workers.
- Debating whether or not I want to obtain a Christmas tree this year or not. I kinda miss not having one up...as it's been about 9 years since I last had one.
- I'm hoping to get some reading done soon...as my new year's resolution is not going to happen at this rate.
- Let the countdown til my plane departs for SD begin: 3 weeks from tomorrow.
- It still weirds me out that it's 70-degrees outside and I'm listening to Christmas music. In December.
12月2日
- I admit that I was giggling like a school-girl this morning as I watched native Southerners trying to defrost their cars without the aid of window scrapers. (Internally giggling...I'm not that rude.)
- The treadmill that literally fell out of the skies on Saturday night has now mysteriously disappeared. With really no evidence that it ever was there. Which is making me wonder if it ever truly existed in the first place.
- Happiness is enjoying a low-key night watching Christmas specials on ABC and ABC Family.
- I feel the need to dunk things in melted chocolate coming on. I do believe that I may be making holiday treats this weekend.
- I really, really, really need a hair cut. Anyone want to take bets on if it will happen before or after my travels to SD?
12月1日
- Waking up to the sound of a crashing treadmill is not much fun. Neither is overhearing your neighbor regurgitating his last meal after a night of celebration. Twas an eventful weekend at the Jumpin Husker Ferret apartment.
- Happiness is a Buy One Get One Free Luggage Sale at Kohls. I am now the proud owner of two new carry-on bags.
- New Thanksgiving tradition: Watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall or something similar instead of the Macy's parade.
- Nebraska has a better overall winning record than LSU this year. Not that I'm being smug about it. Just impressed by that fact.
- Only 24 more days until I'm back in SD.
