Today's Goal: To get organized. 4月16日 Flashback to the List of Lists 2007On January 9, 2007, I made a list of 50 list topics that I had planned on completing in 2007.
I started off well, but alas I didn't come close to finishing the list of lists. Thus, I will try to complete the list of lists from 2007 in 2008. Better late than never, right?

Today's Goal: To avoid slamming any more body parts in doors. (In other words, I should be losing my fingernail off of my middle finger on my right hand within days.) 4月11日 Randomly Seeking SusanBooks - It only makes sense that as an avid viewer of The Cartoon Network and obsesser of the Muppets that I become a lover of Young Adult Fiction. I have finished the Harry Potter and His Dark Materials series. Have read all but 4 of the Lemony Snicket Books. Am anxiously awaiting the next book in the Twilight and Looking Glass Wars series. And am currently halfway through Fly by Night. And I am 30 years old. Honestly, I read more Anne Rice, Stephen King and Harlequin novels in my early teen years than I do now. I guess there is some truth behind the old development saying, "When one stresses, one regresses."
Movies - As noted earlier this week (in my only blog entry of the week), I finally watched Bee Movie and Dan in Real Life over the weekend. Bee Movie was okay, and had a great message...it just kinda bored me. Not sure why. And I'm sure that it could just be a fluke. But yawn. Dan in Real Life on the other hand had me giggling and squirming and yearing and forgetting that it co-starred the monstrousity that is Dane Cook. It was just a nice chick flick from a guy's perspective.
Next up in my at home movie queue: No Country for Old Men. I think that I'll follow that up with The Departed. Might as well make it a full Oscar movies with blood weekend.
Movies I need to acquire from Target: Sweeny Todd, Juno, Lars & the Real Girl
TV - Thank goodness for the end of the writer's strike. 30 Rock had me giggling like a schoolgirl last night. As did The Office. Honestly could Jim and Pam be any more cute. And samantha who? wasn't too shabby on Monday either. Although I really think that Samantha should get a break with the ex. But then where would the chemistry go?
Weekend plans - This weekend I plan on attending the Strawberry Festival in a neighboring town with some co-workers. It's a fun festival. Plus there are endless strawberry related foods to enjoy: shortcake, beignets, funnel cake, chocolate dipped, beer, daiquiris...

Current Mood: Antsy
Today's Goal: To read. 4月2日 Retail TherapyI have been spending too much money as of late.
I would like to say that it is has been on the necessities of life.
But, alas, I am not sure I can define Seasons 7 & 8 of The Simpsons as true necessities.
I mean, I needed them to continue to round out my DVD collection. But did I need them in a Maslow kinda way. Not at all. Especially since the local CW channel reruns 2 episodes of The Simpsons everyday. So, it's not like I would go through Homer withdrawl. It simply comes down to the fact that I have not successfully trained myself to just say no to retail therapy.
As I have mentioned a few times in my blog, I have been stressed as of late. While I still handle most of my stress by eating...Raising Cane's is way too close to campus to ignore...I still have a penchant to use my money to buy items that I could either put on a Wish List, borrow (from something called a lib-rar-y?) or wait until on sale.
Instead, I have a tendancy of buying things that will make me happy now: DVDs, books, shoes, chocolate, books...I am nothing if not predictable when it comes to my impulse buys. (I have managed to get out of the candles, picture frame, stuffed animals phase. I guess that means I'm maturing?)
Although, I do have to admit to the fact that I only purchase things that have been on my "I Really, Really Want" list or things that I have stalked until they have decreased in price. I just need to learn to just say no.
