It has been a pretty predictable summer for Me and the Jumpin' Husker Ferret thus far.

 

Worked. A lot as usual. Which is a good thing. Especially when I have had the opportunity to work with some great students and professional staff members.

 

Cross-Stitched. I officially think that this means I am getting really, really old.

 

DVDs. While cross-stitching, I have caught up on The Tudors, Entourage, 30 Rock, Big Love, True Blood...unfortunately, this list goes on for awhile. So, I'll stop while I'm ahead.

 

Flew. Made my annual trek back to the homeland (SD) at the begining of July. While there, I spent time with family (great aunt's funeral), classmates (Baltic Lounge), and friends (Falls of the Big Sioux, 3 times). I also spent a lot of time playing whist with the immediate family, shopping with my sister (Best Buy employees seemed to know us by name), and at the movies (The Hangover, Night at the Museum 2, and Bruno). I also spent a morning at the Great Plains Zoo with my folks. Overall, it was a great trip.

 

Stayed home. Shortly after returning from SD, I decided that it was time to catch my annual summer cold. Luckily, it didn't last as long as usual. Probably due to the fact that I stayed at home rather than came in for work during the worst days. Maybe I am learning something in my older age?

 

Procrastinated. Seriously, I need to clean my apartment. Buy new furniture. Exercise. You know, the usual list of needs and to dos.

 

Well, I think that should catch most of you up for the time being. Kinda scary how easy that was to do after almost 2 months, but I guess that's just how I roll.
