1.  Finally broke down and called my mother. As I know that news of the 'weather' about to hit the Gulf of Mexico has now travelled to the SD television stations. The conversation was a lot calmer than I had expected...although I have a feeling that could change in the next few days.
2. I  when people pass tests! Especially ones involving doctors.
3. It.has.been.a.long.long.week. One that will not end for awhile...'weather' permitting. Yup...totally turning into my mother...just as everyone predicted I would.
4. In the process of making holiday travel plans. Not sure if it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas at this point.
5. Proud to report that my dreams have become mostly normal. No more beaten down animal dreams. Now I'm just stuck on the side of Old 77 in Dell Rapids with only a bike for transportation. Which would be okay...if I knew how to ride a bike. Oh well...

1. Tis officially that time of year where I look like a drowned rat...all day long. Probably doesn't help that I have decided to start walking to work in the mornings either. But, hey, exercise is exercise, right?
2. Finished Breaking Dawn. I liked it. It ended the series well. It was predictable in the way that everything just fell into place so that there could be a happily ever after, but it IS a young adult book afterall. (And it didn't end with the prince carrying the princess off into the sunset like so many other young adult books of yesteryear.)
3. Been having a lot of dreams about my grandpa as of late. Isn't too shocking, as it has been almost 12 years since he passed away. It's just weird that I'm remembering dreams a lot as of late.
4. I will be updating my Wish List for Target and for this page soon. As the time to celebrate my parents successfully having sex almost 32 years ago is quickly approaching again. (I will only be 31...)
5. The Jumpin' Husker Ferrets have been overly talkative as of late. I'm really not sure if that's a good or bad thing. It's just a thing...wow, I am so not awake yet, can you tell?

So Happy Birthday, Christian! Thanks for the distractions (and there have been many) over the past 20 years.

1. Picking sweet corn in a field in South Dakota.
2. Finishing Breaking Dawn.
3. Making a life-altering decision.
4. Keeping stats at a Husker football practice.
5. Massaging Michael Phelps.
6. Shopping at Target.
7. Bowling - either in the real world or on Wii.
8. Shredding old files. (What I really should be doing...)
9. Measuring the distance between my office and the bus stop...on my way home...early.
10. Making someone laugh.
11. Ignoring IMs from people who just cannot take a hint.
12. Imparting my vast knowledge of what's really going on in my life, but again until #3 is answered, I cannot.
13. Being more interesting so that random people on the interweb would find me witty or something...

Well, on that note, I'm off to do more prepping for the new academic year. Enjoy my dull-i-tude.

1. My new student worker is a rock star! Honestly, I'm having a difficult time keeping up with her.
2. So far I'm liking Breaking Dawn. Although I am afraid to finish it, as a lot of people have told me that they didn't like the ending...including the new student worker.
3. Sleep is not my friend this week. Thus far, I've had dreams about waiting for the bus in an unknown city and about being a misused animal on a farm. Yeah. Not sure what's going on in my psyche. And I'm kind of okay with that fact.
4. The theme to My Buddy/Kid Sister is stuck in my head. And it won't stop.
5. There are a lot of Olympic sports that I just do not understand. At all. And I think I'm okay with that.

1. I think that I need a "How to Guide" on "How to be me."
2. Words cannot describe how happy that I am that in less than 60 minutes it will be the weekend.
3. Hope to have some information to share with everyone within a week.
4. Goal for the weekend: Finish reading The End and Breaking Dawn. Nothing like reading Young Adult Literature...the entire series at that, when one is over the age of 30.
5. Only 4 more weeks until my birthday. Remember - I do have a Target wishlist, if you'd like to celebrate me. And who doesn't?

1. Weekend plans: Read Breaking Dawn.
2. I really shoud not have worn these shoes today. They really make my feet hurt.
3. My thoughts are with Leah right now.
4. Only 2 more weeks of normal summer remain.
5. The piles have reappeared in my office.
