I How I Met Your Mother. The fact that a person would fake liking Star Wars in order to make a potential mate happy is priceless.
The Louisiana weather has once again returned to warmer than South Dakota. <sigh> Last week was so nice. Maybe we'll have another week like that again this year.
It looks like I may be traveling north again sometime in the next few months. I will keep you posted.
Here's the list of DVDs that I acquired last week thanks to gift cards for my birthday: Season 3 of Weeds, Season 2 of Dexter, Season 4 of Entourage.
Once again facebook's (fluff)friends had captured my attention with a 3 week long search for pirate booty in honor of Talk Like a Pirate Day. Just more proof that I will never act my age...at least in public...or admit to doing so in a public forum.

Not only am I too old to watch the MTV VMAs anymore, I am now too young to watch the Emmys.
This weekend will determine how much I blog about my Huskers this year. As this will be our first 'real' game of the season. (Virginia Tech)
Last week is a blur. My schedule looks like someone had fun coloring inside of the lines. Honestly, only a few minutes here and there to breathe. This week looks better, thus far.
Highlight of last week's television premieres: Gorilla face. Enough said.
September to December goal: To read 5 'classic' books. I'm beginning with Animal Farm. It just feels appropriate due to the upcoming elections.

I did end up getting my birthday wish: Power returned to the Jumpin' Husker Apartment at 6:00 PM on September 5.
Ike didn't cause as much of a ruckus in Baton Rouge as Gustav did...although I am totally ready for this hurricane season to be over.
I have the hankering to spend some money at Target. And soon.
I the fact that it's college football season again. Though I will not be making any Husker thoughts public until after Homecoming (Missouri, of all teams to play.)
I am proud to state that I am not the only 31 year old in higher education who is smitten with Total Drama Island. As pathetic as that sounds, it does make me feel a lot better about my sanity.

It is my birthday. And I'm living in my office due to no power at the Jumpin' Husker Apartment. And that's okay.
Baton Rouge has a curfew of 8:00 PM til 6:00 AM. This is indefinite. And totally puts a crick in my plans for world domination.
Air conditioning is the bomb.
Not sure how I feel about the Ocean Spray CranEnergy drinks. They're kinda tart.
Happy belated birthday to my cousin, E!

Gustav wasn't very nice. But the Jumpin' Husker Ferrets and I made it through unscathed. Hot, but unscathed.
Hot? Well, electricty went out on Monday and wasn't up and running when I left this morning around 7:30. Fingers crossed that changes by tonight.
Otherwise, I will most likely be staying on campus tonight.
My cell is working. So feel free to text or call if you want to.
Most likely will be delaying my bday celebrations until next week.
